- We sat there as the night became slowly darker, sipping our wine. Talking about plans and things from back home. House stuff. Jobs etc...We finished our wines. Grandma stood up and went to the railing to look out at the beach which by now was almost impossible to see beyond the sand. I stood up and went to the railing and stood next to grandma.
- Our shoulders were so close we could feel the heat from each other. The temperature was slowly getting cooler. Staying by the ocean, it is a lot cooler than inland. Grandma said, "stay here a minute, I'll be back in a moment."I heard the water flush in the bathroom, thinking she had just gone to the bathroom, she returned to stand next to me on the balcony with a blanket wrapped around her. As she stands next to me on my left side, she lifts her right arm and places it around my shoulder wrapping me in the blanket too. It was such a nice feeling. I wished I was with my old gf. It reminded me of being with her as we often sat out and looked at the stars wrapped in a blanket. I grasped the blanket with my right hand as it wrapped over my right shoulder, and placed my left arm around grandma's lower back; otherwise, it would have been really awkward. Grandma also lowered her arm to my lower back for comfort too.
- We stood there for about five minutes. Wrapped in the blanket. Listening to the ocean, smelling the fresh ocean breeze. We actually didn't say a single word the whole time. After about five minutes, grandma said to me, "Johnny, I am sorry about teasing you this morning."
